Oana Teodora IOVA, Ph.D.

I am an Associate Professor and the head of international relations at the Telecommunications department at INSA Lyon. I am also a member of CITI laboratory and INRIA Agora research group.

I am interested in low-power long-range technologies, routing and MAC protocols for wireless sensor networks, performance evaluation, testbeds and experiments for the Internet of Things.

Short Bio

I obtained my PhD in Computer Science from University of Strasbourg in 2014, where I worked under the supervision of Thomas NOEL and Fabrice THEOLEYRE. My PhD thesis was on "Standards Optimization and Network Lifetime Maximization for Wireless Sensor Networks in the Internet of Things".

From 2014 to 2017 I was a postdoctoral researcher in the D3S research group at the Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science (DISI) from University of Trento, Italy, where I worked with Prof. Gian Pietro Picco on routing protocols in wireless sensor networks and on low-power long-range technologies.
